The book is a group biography of six women who became war correspondents in the Second World War: Virginia Cowles, Martha Gellhorn, Clare Hollingworth, Helen Kirkpatrick, Lee Miller and Sigrid Shultz.
Publication is slated for the spring of 2021. Non-fiction editorial director Georgina Morley acquired world English Language rights for Mackrell’s Going With the Boys, from Clare Alexander of Aitken Alexander.
Pan Macmillan has acquired a biography from Judith Mackrell about "bold and brilliant" women who became war correspondents.
